So this is me.

I am a writer, conservationist, animal lover, designer, gardener, letter writer, artist as well as a dreamer and philosopher.

I write because it is in my soul and the world around me isn't big enough so I have to create my own (in intense detail). I paint my world with the written word and I share these worlds with my long-suffering partner who is often dragged within them.

I believe we have feelings for a reason so should never be ashamed to laugh, cry, love, hate, desire, need etc. I take pleasure in small things, like watching a bird feeding or a crisp winter morning.

While there are horrors in this world I have not yet been so beaten by it that I can not see the beauty. I hold hope for a better world and I hold faith that there are still more good people than bad.

Random Thought: Stupid people should be clearly labelled

I like my personal time and space. I am old enough and wise enough to say what I think 99% of the time (that 1% is the part of me that must remain "diplomatic" at work). if I don't wish to do something I won't do it. I don't suffer guilt trips and accept that every now and then I will probably humiliate myself. I can live with that! :)

I try to keep my space in good order, I try and keep my altar decorated and honour my sacred days as much as I can within a busy life.

My family consists of a wonderful man who can cook, use a vacuum, do the dishes, make the bed and do frighteningly complicated maths (he is my walking calculator) he is also one of the clumsiest people I know! :p We have 3 cats, neither of them are the "devil" but I believe they're related to him :)

I consider my biggest virtue is not smashing people I hate in the face with a brick the instant they annoy me.

I consider my biggest vice is... see above!

I like butterflies and moths, cold weather, big warm slippers, card games, hot chocolate and hot water bottles, candles and fires, full moons and sitting in the dark watching the bats. I love being curled up on the sofa with a brew, a biscuit and my cats.

I dislike most people, kids, noise, bright light, the smell of coffee, fad-addicts, arrogance, ignorance, boring jobs, drama, waffles, anyone suffering from the ‘god-complex’ commercialism, Reality TV and TV in general, answering machines... ok I’ll be here all day if I continue...

I collect my burnt matches, my cats shed whiskers, staples, small shells and an array of other slightly bizarre items. I like skulls in my decorations, and my house doesn't feel like home without a candle burning.

I believe in certain causes such as replacing animals in ALL types of experiments including medical and support them as much as I can in as many ways as I can.

If I had to describe myself in five words they would be: writer, dreamer, environmentalist, determined, passionate.
